How do I disclose the beneficial owners of shares held by shareholders in a company?

The company secretary and board of directors are responsible for ensuring that the company maintains and updates information on the beneficial ownership of all the shares of the company and their associated voting rights. Further, they have a duty to take reasonable steps to ensure that the share and beneficial ownership register is properly kept and that matters to be recorded therein are promptly entered into it.

If your company has not compliant with the requirement to disclose information on the beneficial ownership of all the shares held by shareholders in your company as per the requirement of sections 21 and 123 of the Companies Act, you are required to file to PACRA a Notice of Change in Particulars in Shareholding or Beneficial Ownership (Companies Form 20), Declaration Of Beneficial Ownership (Companies Form 21) and Return Of Declaration Of Beneficial Ownership (Companies Form 22).
