Change of ownership of a trademark is done through submission of a Notice of Assignment.

  • Lodgement Schedule – 3 copies
  • Form TM No.16 – 2 copies (joint application by both the assignee and the assignor)
  • Form TM No.17- 2 copies (application by either party to the assignment)
  • Copy of Deed Assignment/Merger

Fees

  • Filing fee for locally based applicants – K333.60
  • Filing fee for foreign-based applicants – K1,500
